Can non-residents buy in the UAE?

Yes — foreign nationals can own freehold property in designated areas across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. No residency is required to purchase.

What does buying actually cost on top?

Budget roughly 6–7% above the purchase price: DLD transfer fee, trustee office fee, agency commission and, if financing, mortgage registration.
